Duo Swyngedouw-Vanmarsenille
The Swyngedouw-Vanmarsenille duo was born out of a meeting between the talented cellist Leonor Swyngedouw and Edward Vanmarsenille, brilliant harpsichordist and organist. They share their experiences as Romantic and Baroque musicians to create their own musical and sound universe. A fusion of styles and ideas, which crosses the ages to captivate the moment.
Violoncello: Leonor Swyngedouw
Harpsichord: Edward Vanmarsenille

Edward Vanmarsenille was trained at the Royal Conservatory of Liège (organ, music writing) and the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (harpsichord). He continues to perfect his harpsichord skills with Marie-Anne Dachy. At the Antwerp Conservatory he also studied the harmonium.
Edward Vanmarsenille is the titular organist of the great baroque organ of the Collegiate Church of Sint-Truiden and has made several recordings. In addition to his activities on the organ, harmonium and harpsichord, and as a theorist in the field of composition, he regularly performs as an accompanist for ensembles such as the Chamber Choir of Namur, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège and the ensemble Concerto Imperiale. For some years now he has been composing works for organ, harpsichord, piano, early music ensembles and chamber orchestra. His style is based on elements of the past, but also on more recent music.
